Hi! I’m Skyler and I’m so happy you’re here.

I’m based in Connecticut, and in 2025 I picked up a camcorder just for fun and started filming any event I could, including bachelorettes, weddings, birthdays, and more. I turned them into nostalgic, at-home style videos for friends and family, and what started as a creative hobby quickly became something I truly love doing alongside my full-time job as a high school teacher.

After filming my cousin’s wedding in April of 2026, the response I received made me stop and think about what this could become. Since then, I’ve been building Rainey Day Films into something more intentional, a wedding videography approach that blends the warmth and authenticity of home videos with the storytelling and care of cinematic wedding films.

I also love bringing in a fun, creative twist. I once saw friends make a short music video from a trip they went on and thought how cute and fun that would be for a wedding. That idea really stuck with me. At Rainey Day Films, we offer a music video style option that leans into that energy, where you pick a favorite song and everyone joins in. Friends and family singing along, candid moments, and playful clips come together to create something joyful, lighthearted, and full of personality.

I’m drawn to the little in-between moments just as much as the big ones, and I love turning them into something that feels real, emotional, and timeless. What started as something I did for fun is now growing into something I hope becomes a meaningful creative business.
